My Nappy Roots is was a 2005 American film directed by Regin Kimbell. It explores the evolution of black hair styles before American slavery and addresses the struggle of how African American people search for a social control, identity and economic independence.
Virgin Moon Entertainment, an independent production company has put on My Nappy Roots tour set to begin February 16, 2011 across the United States.
